Turkish Competition Board fined Unilever TL 274,409,838.43 for abusing its dominant position in certain ice cream markets by implementing discounts. Unilever was also fined TL 205,807,378.83 for including a previously prohibited non-competition clause in its agreement with Getir Perakende Lojistik A.Ş.. Furthermore, the Competition Board decided that Unilever’s agreements with sales points for the use of its coolers could benefit from exemption provided that the relevant exclusivity clause was removed from those agreements. Finally, Unilever was imposed certain behavioural remedies to let rivals use part of its coolers under certain conditions.
