The Turkish Competition Board concluded a final examination regarding acquisition of Mardaş Marmara Deniz İşletmeciliği A.Ş. (operating in Ambarlı port) by Limar Liman ve Gemi İşletmeleri A.Ş., a subsidiary of Arkas Holding. As a result of the final examination, the Competition Board decided that the transaction would be contrary to Article 7 of the Competition Act No. 4054 prohibiting mergers and acquisitions leading to creation or strengthening of dominance as a result of which competition would be lessened significantly. However, the Competition Board authorized the transaction by taking into account the commitments offered by the parties.
