Turkish Competition Board has initiated an investigation on April 24th, 2018 on Medsantek Laboratuar Malzemeleri San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. and Genomed Sağlık Hizmetleri A.Ş. Both firms are authorized distributors of ThermoScientific’s DNA sequence analysis devices in Turkey. The investigation follows a preliminary inquiry conducted to determine whether dominance in the market involving sale, service and maintenance of DNA sequence analysis devices has been abused in the market for the kits used with those devices.
