European Commission fines ethylene purchasers approx. € 260 million

The European Commission fined Orbia, Clariant and Celanese approx. € 260 million for participating in a cartel involving purchase of ethylene at the lowest possible price. The undertaking called Westlake avoided fine as it revealed the existence of the cartel to the European Commission.
