In its first decision applying leniency and settlement procedures together, Turkish Competition Board fined Kınık Maden Suları A.Ş. TL 928,931.50 after 60% discount from the initial amount of TL 2,322,328.75 due to leniency (35% discount) and settlement (25% discount) procedures whereas Beypazarı İçecek Pazarlama Dağıtım Ambalaj Turizm Petrol İnşaat San. ve Tic. A.Ş. was fined TL 9,848,395.48 after 55% discount from the initial amount of TL 21,885,323.28 due to leniency (30% discount) and settlement (25% discount) procedures. The fine was imposed for infringing Article 4 of the Competition Act No.4054 prohibiting anti-competitive agreements by price fixing via sharing with the rival information on actual and prospective prices, dates of changes in prices and increased prices, and thereby forming cartel.
