European Commission has initiated an investigation on BMW, Daimler and VW Group (Volkswagen, Audi, and Porsche) upon concerns regarding possible collusion to prevent competition on development and roll out of clean emission technology to be used in petrol and diesel cars. Previously, on-the-spot inspections were conducted in BMW, Daimler, Volkswagen and Audi in October 2017 to unearth possible collusion on technological development of cars.
