The Turkish Competition Board imposed a fine of TL 155,782,969.05 on Mey İçki San. ve Tic. A.Ş., the dominant undertaking in the Turkish raki market. The Competition Board decided that Mey İçki San. ve Tic. A.Ş. abused its dominant position in the Turkish raki market and violated Article 6 of the Competition Act No.4054 through its conduct complicating the activities of its rivals. The fine represents 4.21875% of the annual gross revenue of Mey İçki San. ve Tic. A.Ş.. Apart from fine, the Competition Board also imposed certain measures to avoid similar abusive conduct in the Turkish raki market.
